One Thing

You might be wondering how in the world you can achieve a total self-makeover. Maybe the changes you want to make are large and many, and you think there’s just no possible way to re-create yourself that much. You can though, and I’ll tell you how. Do one thing at a time.
Quite often, those seeking to improve themselves become overwhelmed because they try to make too many changes all at once. When this happens, you immediately doom yourself to failure. You quickly become overwhelmed and eventually quit and give up because all your goals and planning seem futile.
Even though you might have big dreams and well-thought-out plans to back them up, remember to slow down and take things one step at a time. Rather than attempting to multi-task your way to the top of that mountain, figure out a step-by-step action plan that will lead you there one task at a time.
Ask yourself: What one thing can I do right now that will lead me a step closer to my ultimate goal? Once you know the answer to that question, you will know exactly what you need to work on right now. Don’t allow yourself to be sidetracked by anything else. Don’t switch from one task to another. Simply work diligently on that single task until it’s completed.
